A review by Heather Conlin

My Career as a Book Reviewer Defending the Faith, by Maurice A. Williams is a very unique and creative idea for a book and completely unlike anything else I have ever read. This is literally a collection of book reviews that the author wrote for other books – but he used these reviews as vehicle to get his writing and ideas out to the public, which I think is brilliant!

The author chose to include primarily reviews of religious books – read by the author in doing research for his book “Revelation and the Fall of Judea”, as well as a few autobiographies. There are 70 book reviews in this in total in this collection. While the reviews are still posted out on the internet where they were written, the author chose to put his best ones in a book of their own so they would not be lost.

In the preface, the author states that he purposely sought out books that were written from a mindset that he knew he would not agree with, so that he could write some in depth critical reviews. The reviews in this book go far beyond the typical light-hearted reviews for book that you may read online! This was definitely an interesting book to read and I would recommend it to others!
